    Default Grenada question

Fished this afternoon. Couple of bites but no fish. Been fishing this lake for over 10 years but never this time of year.
I was spider rigging with a double minnow rig. Marked fish on my 1198 but they weren't interested.

It appears they have a buffet of shad wherever I mark them. I thought I noticed an earlier thread saying there should be a shad die off due to the recent cold weather but it appears to still be a lot of shad around.

Tried Enid Friday and same story. Out of all the boats I talked to only one boat had more than a couple, had 17 and had been there all day.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Lake kills will happen in late winter early spring. Too early now.
    How large were your minners?

They sold them as large but I would say they were medium. I always get the biggest minner I can when in Grenada. What about a 1/4 oz jig with 2 or 3 inch skirt tipped with a large minner or is this overkill?

From what I understand the bite has been off at Grenada for a while now. Basically since they pulled the plug and dropped the water so fast this fall. I gave up a long while back and started going other places. I will probably head back that way in February.

Thanks Feesh! Prolly going to try Washington and Eagle. Only fished Washington once and never fished Eagle. Gotta do something tired of being skunked.
