I'm a new member and love crappie fishing. We start catching a few here in late Feb in a foot or so of water.
They usually start at the smaller (5-7acre) lakes and soon move to the larger (300acre) lake. Usuall jigs work best with a long stiff pole. Then we go to minnows and road runners . Look forward to learning more about catching the big slabs.
