No need for any big name knots. Grandpa showed me how to tie on a hook 35 years ago still works today. Keep it simple. Ain't tying anything extra on. Just run up 6 feet from the bait with your fingers and if you feel anything cut and re tie. When I jig beds I check it more frequent. Pulling through beds will nick you up. Banging em on the side of the boat will do it too. To each his own.

Mane, an Albright is E-Z. A surgeon's knot will work too, and that's even easier. A Uni to Uni works, as well as a blood knot, but they're both bulky and I ain't even going to suggest a nail knot.

Well I decided to purchased a spool of the 15 lb. test Power Pro Depth Hunter and give it a trial run. This stuff is extremely small in diameter. I will try on both pulling 300 Bandits and with a jig set setup. I know you have to use different style knots with braided line. The knots you use on mono will not work. I plan to either be on Grenada Lake or Sardis this weekend, will let everyone know how this line preforms. Thanks for all of the great replies.

Palomar always worked for me. If u on Grenada, look for the Basscat driven by the famous guy with the really nice hair.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I have Power-pro 8/30 on most of my rods. I spooled some 10 years ago. All of my re-ties have been where the snap swivel went bad. I bought it off ebay when things were cheaper than now, 3,000 yard spool was $45 shipped.

I guide on Greers Ferry which was flooded with all the timber still standing. My customers pay me to fish not to stop and go back and try to retrieve baits so I use Power Pro braid 30/8. It allows me to "pop" the rods and jerk most of my cranks free. With mono I would lose hundreds of cranks every season. With that being said if the only places I trolled we're the big 4 in Ms I would use mono because of the cost factor.
