    I have 1 crappie maxx tightline special 12 '. Getting another ! can see the plug work but plenty stout to yard out nice crappie from the depths to surf in to the boat and haul over the side. First dedicated poles we got were zebco 10' crappie killers I believe were their name. 25.00 for the pole and a light spinning reel. Took the reel off and put magda 30dlx on the rod. They work but you get what you pay for. Will be switching those two out as well as the old rods we use on the back.

    I mainly use PST's. Also use medium heavy bass rods for the planer boards.

    12' Pst's. I had a problem in the beginning with the tips breaking I bought 6 rods and broke 4. It must have been a bad batch if rid tips. Grizzly jig replaced everyone I broke. After replacing them no problem since. This is my second season. They have nice action for the bite. I've pulled in 5lb cats going 2mph. Can't speak for the 16' ones but 12' gets it done with ease. With the okuma line count reels. Very easy fishing with that set up. A small child and a old lady can catch em and set em back out.

    I use the Southern Crappie Rods. They have worked great for trolling and have been very sturdy.

    I use the old green WM Titeline specials. They are too stiff for anything else. Think the new crappiemaxx poles are the same. Suckers are stout! PST's are good, but you will break a tip if not careful.

    No tellin how many tips I broke of my Daddy's cane poles over the years. After I broke em off, he would stripe my legs with them!!!! Never saw anybody get so riled up over a durned cane fishing pole!!!
