Here is the rule curve chart. I saw where they showed the water level up 3 feet overnight the other day and then back down to normal the next day too, it was just a typo. You can see the red line on the chart here, it has been on a slow fall for about 45 days. Few more feet to go and we'll get to see what is (or isn't) actually in there![]()

i personally wish that we had much tighter restrictions during the spawn for crappie like there are for flatheads. i haven't fished the spawn for the last four years just because i can catch plenty of fish the rest of the year.
in a lake such as butta, where the rule curve doesnt begin to rise until may 1, which is after the other 3 lakes i believe, and has silted in as much as it has in the last 10-15 years, a winter level of 210 doesnt provide as much water depth or surface coverage as it used to. with the added pressure these days and less places to be that can make it hard on the fish. then factor in the lack of rain like last spring and summer and it got rough.
now with all that said, i think there is still some fish there and so do the people doing the shocking surveys. hopefully there are.
