Congrats on a good day. You caught fish and learned in the process so I would call that a success. Besides, even the big white bay boat has to ask for a little help every now and then to whack them crappies and last time I checked it wasn't a timed contest. If u need any help PM me and I will be glad to give you what little advice or help I can.

Keep at least four feet of separation between the lines. I use a 14 and a 10 out each side and two eight footers straight out the back.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I use pst's, 14', 10' and then a 6' bass rod. The difference in the length of rods does well to avoid tangles but even with that I still get tangles every now and then. What size boat and terrova do you have?

17 ft express. H-51 . Little bass boat with terrible layout with cramped front deck. 80 pound terrova.

The truth is I was a cheapskate and bought 2 dual

purpose batteries for 50 bucks each. Later found out dual purpose isn't the way to go. Gonna stick with them for a while and swap them into one or two of my other boats for starting.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

Have you tried that little B&M 4'10" rod, them little dudes do real well?

I found out year before last that when the rod length starts getting close to the boat length they before a pain in the butt. You'll figue out what works for you, just takes a little time in the boat.
