Washington would be a good lake. Just follow the other boats. That is, if you crappie fish.

I am a school teacher here in Madison(Germantown High School) and my Spring Break is almost here. My dad and I always camp out and fish during the break, and usually spend the week at Okatibee. This year we were only able to get a camper spot through Tuesday so we are having to find a different lake for the later half of the week and dad suggested Washington Lake. I have not been to Washington since in 20 years and all we did then was catfish in the Cyprus Trees.
I hate to ask this question but where would I be most likely to find fish? We will be camping at Roy's so that is the only land mark I have except I remember another store on the southend of the lake. Best i can remember Washington is a shallow lake so its going to be tougher than just finding a channel and following the drop offs.
Any info is appreciated.

Stay shallow and within eyesight of Roys and you should be fine.

Never saw Roy's but was just out from Cordell's, if they get any shallower you will be able to see em.

As both them said, troll the open water from just below cordells all the way to Roys Store and you will prolly catch some of the biggest crappie you ever put in a boat!!!!!

If you put in at Cordells you won't even have to crank the big motor. Start trolling toward Roys and make a big race track pattern. Shallow.

I will be down there March 14th to try them. All of the cabin's at Roys are full so it looks like it will just be a day trip.
