    Default First trip to Arkabutla

I'm headin for Arkabutla next week. I've never been there but have heard good things about the fishin there. From what I've read it's around 5' above normal level now.?.? Are there any areas where a boat should beware of submerged tree stumps or rock etc? Is there a marked channel? Been told that the mouths of Cane and Mussacauna creeks are a good place to start lookin.
I'd appreciate any info on the lake. Thanks

X2, I'd head a little further South to Sardis or Enid right now if I were going. It's a little early for butla.

Actually it is 5 feet higher than the curve right now, good maps and electonics will help. Good luck

Like everyone else said Sardis right now. Last 4 trips averaged 2 fish per trip. Waters above rule curve, cold, dirty and their pulling it hard trying to get it down where it is supposed to be.
