It took awhile but we got on em Saturday with help from Feelay and G3 Troller, thanks for the advice fellas. Quite a ship you got there Carl, I believe I could get two of my champions in that ranger! We ended up with 35 on Saturday and 6 on Sunday (fished til 12:00) before we headed north. Caught most fish after noon on Saturday 4 feet deep in 8 to 12 feet of water. Seemed like they moved up when the wind died down and the sun warmed the water up. Straight minners this time, no jigs. Hopefully we can get back again before the end of March.
    Thanks again fellasName: fish.jpg

Looked pretty funny parking my boat out front of the house with snow still covering part of the street when we got home! If I can ask one more question, I noticed several guys with 16' rods and am wanting to go to them from my cheap 14' HT rods (broke two setting the hook). Most of the rods were in complete "u" shape without breaking, any brand prefered or action? I don't want to buy crap now that I enjoy spider riggin so much! Thanks again.

I would recommend the ozark trolling rods in 16 ft length but have also heard of good reviews about the crappie commander trolling rods as well. Heard they were comparable to ozarks

Don't know about the other rod 65 was talking about, but I have the best deal on the Ozarks. Give me a shout.

Nice catch BTW!!!! We did good Saturday too.

Are you using HT Crappie commander rods? If so I've found them to be pretty good rods for the money. I've been using them and love the sensitivity. The only rod I can say that I like more is Tony Edgar's Ozark Trolling Rod.
