(Counter sunk) Before I screwed everything down I used a hole saw to cut several holes to add foam. The canned foam that you get at the hardware store is exactly the same as the mixed kind! I researched that thoroughly. The holes not only allow you to place the foam, they allow the foam to flow evenly without swelling during curing. I fish about 3 day a week year round (weather permitting) and have never had a water soak issue with this foam. People that have water soak issues are the ones that leave there boat uncovered and out in the weather. I hope this helps.
How do you suppose any water that gets in the boat will be able to get to the drain if you fill the vees/drain channels in the bottom of the boat with the expandable foam?
