I ran back into some old sloughs right after you showed up at the bridge. Picked up a rope in the prop and managed to send my cell phone to the bottom of the channel trying to get it back out. When it rains it pours I guess. I found a pocket with some 56-57 degree water up there and found a few good specks in shallow water. They were holding tight on the tops of submerged stumps. Only picked up black crappie once I left the hole. Wound up with 10.
Hate to hear you had those problems but glad you got on some fish.

Yeah man, I was wandering about you. I called you a couple times after I ran up river and found a few. I was gonna tell you the pattern I had found and your phone said you were out of the area, lol I recon so. Good going on the catch. We will probably hit the Rez every weekend the weather allows until they start up at Grenada.

Good deal. The weather looks beautiful this weekend. If it holds up, I'm gonna throw the tent and fish fryer in my boat and grab some sand upriver sat night. Fish all weekend! May even convince the wife to join me on the boat. You jinxed me btw, never caught a striper while spider rigging til you mentioned it. I hit an eddy that was full of them! Those rascals can make a mess of a spread in no time flat. Drop me a line this weekend, I'll keep a better hold on my phone.

If you fish up river much this time of year you will defiantly run into some stripers, they do make things interesting
