I was told grenada and enid have a better chance of 2/3 pound crappie what you guys think. I know a lot plays a part in catching big fish. around the time I'm comin no tellin what you hook into with spawn going on.

To be honest I would fish any of the big four and not be surprised to catch a 3 pounder. This spring will tell, dont think any of them do it so much every year as the do it every other ir even every 3rd year sometimes. Yes you'll catch good fish in all but on certain years a lake seems to produce more than the year before and it holds true with all four of em. JMHO

So true...that's the one thing I like about home in ms/ark sometime you can hit a small oxbow or small lake and catch them just as well. Less than min away from big lakes. I grew up in west Helena arkansas and grew up fishing old town lake and white river. Now old town, this is not a very big lake at all and about max 7 foot deep.....but let me tell you it hold some slabs in it. Easy 3 pounders Its a sleeper lake to a lot of people.
