I was a Storm rep for several years and these are great, and underused, baits for Crappie. They run straight out of the box and have a very good color range. If you look real hard you can find some old stock from the 80's that had literally 100's of colors that arn't made anymore.

I have an old friend that says they are the best, the old ones that is, and he was always stopping by old hardware stories etc. looking for the old one. He said the new ones just were not near as good as the oldies. Just looking in BPS and Cabelas catalog and see they have them there with plastic lips or so it looks like, I thought they had metal lips, may be wrong, but do see the Hot'NTot has a metal lip.

I figured I may be wrong about the Wiggle Wart as I never owned any. I did fish with Hell Benders, Water Dogs and Bombers, caught a lot of bass on the Christmas Tree Bomber. BPS and Cabelas has some Wiggle Warts, said to be the old original style.

Warts always had the plastic lips. The new ones run as good as the old one. It's just a lot of the old colors were great, but so specific to species that they quit making them.

I guess the 16 I bought for 32 bucks may not be money completely wasted. The colors were just ugly. I think I'll try a repaint on a couple and see how it works out.

You might want to look at Brad's KILLER Fishing Gear. These are Brad's wigglers and are made from the old Storm wiggle wart mold. They have 102 different colors and I belive that they must have made them for crappie fishermen. They run a little deeper than the Storm WW or the Bandit 300. The price is bad either.
