If one rod tip is 24 inches above water, and the other is angled up at 30 degrees and with long poles that may be 5 feet above water, it seems that you would have to let more line out on the higher rod to reach the same depth????
I pull with poles straight out the side. Parallel to the water. The charts are a reference only. Once you find the depth the fish are, keep all the rod tips the same distance from the water, you can use your line counters to duplicate the depth over again. And stay at the same depth.
