I seem to remember from my green carp days that if you lowered tip to water depth increased and a raised tip brought cranks up in water? Wont there be the same variable in pulling cranks? If one rod tip is 24 inches above water, and the other is angled up at 30 degrees and with long poles that may be 5 feet above water, it seems that you would have to let more line out on the higher rod to reach the same depth????
