I've used both, the Daiwa's "feel" more solid, but have the same problems as the Okuma's ( getting line behind the spool) For the money, okuma's are the way to go, they are half the price of the Daiwa's.

I started out with all Okumas but have changed them out one or two at a time and now run all Daiwa lc17's. They are a little smaller and easier for me to transport and use.

i got a couple of those line counters from bps that you can clip on your poll and take off. they work ok if your trying to save a few bucks give you an ok idea of how much line you have out. Better than nothing!!!!

After numerous attempts at pulling cranks on Ross Barnet Rez, I finally found a few. Put in at Twin Harbor, went to the channel and turned north. Here are a few from last Friday.

Also got to meet DoubleGobble00, from a couple of boat lengths anyway, dang nice guy, look forward to getting to know him at one of the camps.

This shot of the cute fisheys on the ff is especially for Wannabee, he sure likes those fisheys.:D
