I had to break ice also, launching at Tommy's, solid ice all the way across. Was wierd sounding on that aluminum boat.
I can imagine Maj, was bad enough on Fiberglass
Got a bigger ice breaker for this winter though, will be ready for it. The coldest I get is when running WOT to get from pt a to pt b. I can usually dress comfortably for the cold.
You dang sho had some cold weather clothing on last year man.
THat's what it's all about.
Okay guys, I have been reading and collecting information on pulling and pushing cranks trying to learn new techniques. One thing I have not heard discussed is what water clarity is the best? 6" - 2'; 2'-4'; 4'-6' water clarity. Is one water clarity better for pushing than pulling or is it just one's own preference? Is longlining jigs better in clear water? Thanks.
I would say the difference between pulling and pushing is just preference....I know some guys that do both at the same time also. Dark water-----use darker colors.....clear water------use lighter brighter colors.
Pulled cranks today on the Rez, caught 11, kept 4 with the smallest being 13", largest 16" (2lbs, 4oz). Got very windy so only fished a couple hours.
