Here is the depth chart. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/archi...pth-chart.html
I use 30-8 power pro line but where I troll there is alot of structure that loves to eat crank baits. If I fished the Big 4 all the time I would use 10 lb mono like slab said.

There are some Bandit depth charts on here somewhere and thats what the line counter reels are for it tells you how much line to let out for a certain depth.
    Thanks again Slab.

someone may have already said this, but, go to myoutdoortv.com and look under the Midwest Crappie show's subtitles. There are several shows with Kent D. on there fishing cranks on the COE lakes.

Those are good videos and now is a good time for a review. He points out the proper way to space the amount of line out for each rod. I don't think I'd seen that any place else.

    Default Help needed

I live and fish mainly in NC. My home lake has a very good poulation of black crappie and a few white crappie. I have been reading a lot on trolling crankbaits. My question is, is this a good summertime tatic for trolling for crappie with a population of mainly black crappie?
