    Hey All.

    I'm heading up to southern MN for a family reunion this weekend and will be camping on the Upper Iowa River near Harmony, which is supposedly very clear and good for Small Mouth, Rock Bass and Trout. Having never fished for any of the above, I'd appreciate any tips on lure or tactics one might try when fishing from the shore.

    If you ever get down to Missouri, shoot me a PM, I'll be happy to help with info about Smithville Resevoir or put you in touch with folks who can help out on other bodies of water.

    Primarily trout in that area. #1 or #2 Mepps spinners should do you well. Bucktail or plain spinners. I like gold blades, no hair. #3 and #5 floating and countdown raps will work too. Gold/black, silver/ black, gold/orange [my favorite in a #5 countdown], blue/silver.

    Light spinning gear with 4 pound mon for line.
