Thread: Got a question

I know yall dont fish for the green trashtrout but yall might know the answer for my question. my partner and I caught about 14 keepers on woods this evening and some of them had black splotches on them. Is this some kind of fungus or what?

I have heard that is just a genetic flaw and not dangerous.
I have caught 2 that had a brown spot about the size of a nickel with a lump or swelling under it. Those are the ones you want to throw back. A friend that I work with and I went last Thursday afternoon to Woods and the bite was tough. They were letting a lot of water out and it was pretty stained. Texas rig worm or jig produced the best.
