Thread: First EVER Crappie

I've been trying to get more people interested in attending Crappie Camp. A coworker has shown interest. He grew up fishing the river near his home in Indiana then ocean fishing while in the Navy. Of all of the different fish he has caught, he's never caught a crappie until this morning.
He lives just a short distance from Crappie Camp. I picked him up early this morning & we hit the lake I fished during camp. It was a tough bite with recently passed cold front. As luck would have it, one of the first rods to hit was his & he reeled in his first ever crappie! Not a giant but a solid eater. We managed enough to give him a meal. Hopefully you'll all see him at camp next spring!
