Last fall I bought a used but nice snowmobile primarily to ice fish with.
I got it to start and run soon as I brought it home.
Last week I brought it over to my friend Pat to go through it and make sure it’s ready to go.he has the exact same sled and is also a mechanic. Everything is in good shape but it won’t power up to actually move so cleaned carbs, new fuel filter lines, plugs.....still nothing so he began dissambly
It has a broken piston skirt, scored cylinder and dings in the crankshaft.
Costs too much to rebuild so looking for a good used motor.
It will be a nice sled in the end.
