I wanted to go Walleye fishing, and with the recent development made a plan that Chris and I were going to Saginaw Bay, as the plan developed our friend, neighbor and distant relative Pat was going up by himself. I told him he could go with us but as we followed the wind reports opted to use his boat. It’s bigger and would handle those NE winds at 8-14mph......and being a bigger boat easier to maintain 6’ distancing......

We went out of Linwood to 24 feet and began trolling with Bandits at 65-80 back. It didn’t take long and we were into some nice quality walleye. At one point landing a triple

Winds got worse and we no longer had walleye chop, but rather walleye trough! We stuck it out as long as we could, never felt unsafe....just knew it was going to get worse so we headed in at 2:00 and put the boat on the trailer in a empty parking lot. Either everyone else got their limit early or didn’t like the troughs!
We were glad to be on the water, put some needed groceries in the freezer and safely back off the water.
