Danny, that is a goldfish. Same as a common carp, I think. This one is the only one I've ever caught and the biggest one I've ever seen. The crappie came from D'arbonne and Poverty Point, last February.

I saw some giants over at Mud lake behind the high school in Haslett. Not many people even know about that little gem. Darn, come to think of it, I have not ice fished it in forever!
I think a few people released a mad amount of those things from a fish tank one year. Maybe a parent who explained to their child that they noticed all the fish belly up when they got home so they disposed of them!!!! Which equates to, I'm tired of feeding them and cleaning the tank
