I never play either. I have purchased some pretty cool fishing tackle with all the "dollars" I've saved over the years.

I was once standing in line at a party store. The guy in front of me was purchasing lottery tickets (maybe 20 bucks worth). I asked him if he ever won anything. He tells me "No, but you can't win if you don't play".
Yup, I've heard that excuse used before I said. Here is one for you that you probably have not heard. Take that 20 bucks and ask for two 10's, give me one and slide the other in your pocket. I'll kick you in the nether region as hard as I can. When you pick yourself up off the floor you will have the same feeling in your stomach as you would tomorrow after the drawing BUT, you have 10 more bucks in your pocket!!!!! He pondered that one for awhile!

Feel free to use that analogy. I made it up on the spot but have used it dozens of times since then. The funny thing I see with the lottery is this: A vast majority of the people that purchase tickets (sometimes daily) cannot afford to purchase them. Their money would be better used or spent if they saved it! Imagine what they could or would have if they would not have squandered it away. What a shame.
