I did that too, I don't have an ATV to strip the spools like Rich, but I do have a drill. I hooked up a bit, got it wrapped, and then pulled the trigger, and stripped the reels.
Stripped 4 of my Salmon line counter reels, that I will double up as my Walleye line counting reels as well. One was 1/2 stripped, and then used that fresh line to spool up
Then measured out 150 Yards in the back yard, added 150 Yards of Mono for my backing, and my game changing line is on order, and will be spooled up. This line is so awesome, fish will want to jump in my boat.
