With a new year comes a new thread to post your thoughts and conversations of nothing in particular. 2 years ago we hit 905 posts in the "Random Thoughts" thread, last years "Shots from the hip" got 702.......as Jerry once said....."You can do better".

I have always felt these threads were similar to going into your little town restauraunt, catching up on the local topics......you leave when you have to go to work, and pick up where you left off on your return.

So, carry on from where we left off in 2017, keep it clean and friendly. Come on in to Uncle Don's coffeehouse......be careful the paint on the walls are still fresh!

You can always do better so we're gonna give it a good try. I hope this joint has a parking lot big enough for trucks and boats, cheap coffee and waitresses that don't expect much of a tip. And a senior discount for all you old farts that stop in for a visit.

My money is on OE being the first patron asked to keep the noise down, just saying. Come on Aaron don't disappoint us.

I got my first cup going for 2018. Shor does taste good. First rain for over a week down here.

Kids leave for the frigid north tomorrow afternoon. Praying for dry roads as they hit the snow belt.

Jerry, we got the adjacent lot next to U.D.'s coffeehouse just for that reason, plenty of room for parking......the waitresses name is Shirley, she's from Aaron's hometown of Ionia.

I got my first cup of coffee for the New Year in hand as I type, also got my first cold of the year. Probably a good thing we didn't go ice fishing yesterday.

Don we'll pray for good roads so the youngsters have a safe trip back home.

Been nice sharing a cup with you fellas this morning, now it's time to go to work. I'll stop in tonite around dinner time.

I think I know Shirley. Can't recall many details though.

MY new year is starting out just fine. SoCal family arrived close to midnite

. It is going to be quite an adjustment for them, with this cold snap. As far as I know, they have never been in snow and cold like this. All of them are still sleeping tho. Hope that your new year will be good for you and yours.
