Mid 40's, blue skies and sunshine. Time to break out the short pants! Or maybe trim the winter beard.
Working on my 1st cup. Going to be warm here today but calling for almost a 1" of rain. It's already a sloppy muddy mess.
Not complaining we will probably be begging for rain before the summer is over.
last night I put out 40 maple syrup buckets and hooked up another 50 trees to tubing for collecting sap .
have another25 or so to tap tonight.
coffee is tasting good this morning!
You have some good weather coming up for making syrup. Could use a little more sunshine and a little less rain but I'll bet the sap will be running ok
I missed the boat again this year. Had every intention of tapping several trees on my property. But then I got busy, failed to order the crap I needed and, yup, the sap starts running! Oh well, always next year.
