Checked out the new TSC by my place.
This was in the parking lot. Was cool to see, even if I didn’t park in it....

Aaron,
It is about time that our stores down here start doing that. They have been doing it in Clare, Ludington, Cadillac, and Houghton Lake (to name a few) for years. To this day I still feel guilty to park there.
Steve, every time you post one of those, it gives our Northern brothers a bad name. Or, more fuel for our jokes! That said, his boat ID stickers look illegal! Just sayin.
We joke but the truth is, straps break all the time. All the more reason to have a break away chain and rear straps. Of course, he is in the U.P so the rear straps are probably being used to hold his tailgate up, are still on the snowmobile trailer, or are being used to hold a treestand in place.
I had an idea yesterday when we were out on Morrison. Is anybody interested in doing a crappie contest on Morrison? I was thinking it would be the first annual Morrison Lake one pole crappie challenge. Fish as many people as you want in your boat but only one rod per person. Jigs and plastics only. Roadrunners and beetle spin type lures are allowed. Fish will be scored by length rounded to the nearest 1/4" and each person can count their 25 longest towards their total. It could be for fun or we could throw in $5-$10 each. I was thinking the Saturday after Labor Day. Any interest?
I like it home field advantage, a whole summer of research.......I admit right up front you WIN.
Speaking of camp, how may more days do Steve and I have left?.........lol
I would go and may go, it would be last minute and weather caused, but I am a BIG Tentative, borderline not going to make it already.
Salmon will be staged, and heading inland either working their way into pierheads or possible into lakes and I will hopefully be out jigging for them.
We laugh about the DR, you want to see combat fishing......... When the Salmon are staged or just inside the pier heads @ Muskegon the people trolling race like Bristol Motor Speedway. They actually troll inside the Muskegon Pierheads.
Combat fishing at its finest. I like to drop spot lock in the center of the Hurricane (where they are not trolling in the middle) and Jig. I watch them make MMA threats @ each other, tangle lines, etc. it gets crazy when a weekend warrior arrives pulling divers, planers, leadcore, etc and makes a heck of a mess. Then the fireworks really kick off.
That’s even worse than the guys jigging so close to each other.........lol
Last year’s run @ Muskegon was horrible. Betsie river had a great run, and I am watching BOTH, to see if I need to make a North road trip. I hope not, and hope the Muskegon run is worth while this year.
This custom made Pez display case my son made

Oh,
I fixed my window switch in my truck.
Still have a big grin, and giggles.
OE
Jerry, I'm game. Might be hard to keep track of the length of 25 fish but we can think of something.
10 bucks per person would be cool with me as well. If we arrived early enough at the ramp, we could take up the whole parking lot. I'm sure my parents would be interested as would Brian.
Any place local to do a picnic afterwards? Or a restaurant close by that would be able to accommodate a group?
I would have room in my boat if someone wants to come and don't feel like bringing their boat.
Well it has the same pasty white skin and little eyes.....put a goatee and some Becky kisses on it I’d say it’s a very close match

Aaron, I might be interested in Salmon jigging. Get Kevin involved and I'm sure the laughs and ribbing wouldn't stop.
