The boat might have made it FARTHER, if had a roller trailer.
Maybe the bunks were icy?

Several things wrong with that one! Wrong trailer to start! Going too fast, hitting the brakes and no surge brake or electric brake! No rear straps. He deserved it.
We received a grand total of .00001 inches of rain despite storms all around from Friday morning until now. That might also be a generous guess at best.
I had some of the same thoughts that Rich had. Wrong trailer, no straps.
I got my new wondereel restrung with 6 pound mono and mounted on a 9' rod. It casts surprisingly good. Unique way it works, flip off the anti reverse, turn the handle 1/4 turn backwards as you're holding the line with a finger and cast away. Pretty cool. I did find a wonderod in my garage but it's a 9' coho special so it's a bit stiff for crappie.
Yesterday Judy and I took a drive over to Lake-O. We like to browse the antique stores over there. I was hoping to surprise you Sparty with a wonderrod to go with your reel, but nothing ......even drove around trying to find that guys place who had hundreds of rods at his yard sale. Apparently he’s done as I didn’t see a sign.

I'll look around and see what I got in stock. Two years ago, I had about 10 of them left. I gave a few to Brian to screw around with and retie and I had to rob a few of them with parts to make others work properly. Not sure what I have any more as I gave a lot of them away. I had a 4 footer all the way up to a 9 or 10 footer as well as the fly rod version at one time.
If memory serves me, they were the go to combo in the early years and could be found in almost every tackle shop in Michigan. The original white ones were heavy but worked really well. I've also had the follow up models to them. Once you fished a wonder rod, you sure could tell the difference how much better the follow on models were! Those rods sure could throw a pike spoon.
And all this time, I thought that the "Franken-Crappie on Lake Michigan dwarfed a normal Crappie, along comes this video.........
Its an UBER-Franken-Crappie

$512,000,000.00 in the lottery jackpot tonight. I could buy a really nice used boat with that much cash and have some left over for gas. I never play but may buy a ticket just for the fun of it.
I play once in a while.....if I DID win, I would first take care of immediate family. Then I would buy a house in the Keys, a big fishing boat and invite my friends to offshore fish any time they could come down. I'd also buy some big farm in Iowa that had an abundance of big racked deer......again invite my friends to hunt.
Probably still drive my old truck though.....can't change too much :Rofl
