12 hrs turned in to 15 hours today. From Lansing to Ionia, to two Gr sites, then Holland, on to Muskegon, up to Ludington, over to Cadillac, up to TC, then to Gaylord before stopping f9r the night in Petoskey.
Tomorrow I go from this site to the Soo, back to Alpena, then West Branch. I've done 21 sites in two days We will be complete with 31 sites tomorrow. The closest person to me has 4 complete. I guess the other 46 people across the US like to take their time. I have better things to do then drag it out.
Take me fishing........ lol
Of course I won’t be able to go, have some more interviews lined up.
Just woke up from my nap. I was up at 3am, at Steves house at 4:25 ready to meet a buddy in Lansing at 5 for a trip to Detroit. A weather check showed a steady 20 mph SW wind with gusts to 35 waiting for us. Advisory to stay off the river was issued as well. Oh well, maybe next week will be better.
I just woke up a bit ago too, Judy asked what happened that we didn’t go. I told her about deciding not to go after reading the advisory on the Detroit River page.
Her response: Couldn’t you go perch fishing instead?

Steve, Jerry,
You guys could have went and did an early morning trip. You were already up....... :)
Winds are not supposed to pick up over double digits until 11am, and then not over 20 until 2pm. You early risers, could have at least had a great morning, then cleared off for the afternoon and incoming winds.
I know some guys headed down this weekend, and i had to snicker, the weather is supposed to be horrible, Thunder, Rain, etc. Sunday looks to be the best possible day of the weekend and not nice at all to begin with. I may try to sneak down for another trip, or save the $ and look into a 3 day weekend the following week.
The following week looks excellent, I may have to look to a Sat, Sun, Mon, 3 day weekend and stay down there @ Harbor Town.
Steve, Jerry, the Launch we launched out of (Trenton Municipal) is commonly known as "Rotary Park", by everyone else in the Walleye world.
Next time I go down, I am going to have to look to launch from Belanger Park. Lost of parking, and ramp is out of current.
Lots of parking, and not far from where the "Emergency Services" took place, maybe about another mile Upstream, so we were close to that place when we stopped.
Took me 3 days of "Lazy" cleaning, but the boat is cleaned out, and ready to go.......:biggrin

Based on weather report winds are double digits early on.
Not worth chancing it.
