Heck yes. Snacks work. I sleep a lot when I'm in one of these things. Bow hunting is my thing so I'll refrain from hunting out of it. But it makes a nice base camp within 250 yards of 4 different stands. Course, I can see them all from the windows

    Default See, I do work

That layout to see other blinds reminded me of years ago.....

Cell phone wrecked allot of good times.......

When I used to hunt up in Mancelona we used Midland hand held radios to communicate.

We used each persons beard color as call signs......

Red Beard, Grey Beard, Black Beards, we could see each other's blinds.

Was a great time, allot of deep thought went into those conversations.

One year it was about the Russian conspiracy of Figure Skating......

Not one dang person knew about figure skating, but we were experts on the radios......

One of the best times ever........

Best words ever spoken over those radios was Grandma @ the Cabin/Base Camp.....

    Bacon & Eggs are ready..........
Was like a MMA match through the woods to get there first.....

    I miss those days.......

The conspiracy of Russian figure skating made me laugh! When I ventured out on my own, dad and I used radios.

We still do from time to time but he is deaf so I get to repeat myself or talk to the wall.

I'm salt and pepper beard now!

    John,

I remember when you built that. My last one was built from leftover materials from other jobs. 8x8 and 16 feet in the air.

I stopped looking at the materials receipts for this one!

Of course, I have tons of odds and ends but never what I need. I guess when you no longer do that side work it can happen. Almost all my passload batteries were bad. Three drill batteries bad. 2 full boxes of passload 8's but only 1 strip of 16's. 10 lbs of 8 hand pins but a dozen 16's. Generator is too small to push my compressor so the roofing gun and coils couldn't be used and, as luck would have it, only a lb of roofing hand pins. Nickle and dime stuff.

I hate finish work. I am good at it but also nit picky and like to be perfect. I have to remind myself of what it is but less than perfection bothers me a lot.

No one notices the three 8 points behind that buck photo! Here is another one to drool over.

Rich and John, those are some very impressive deer blinds/ apartments/ mother in law rooms! I keep saying someday I'll build one but it hasn't happened yet.
