Default Hated missing crappie camp but.....

I got to spend some quality time with my kids. My son got in around 6 pm Friday and we spent the evening catching up. Saturday morning I made him a bacon and egg breakfast before he took off to spend the day with friends from the area. My daughter rolled in late afternoon on Saturday and we hung out and chatted until she couldn't keep her eyes open any longer. We have a graduation open house at noon for a niece so they will get to see most of the family. The plan is for us to head to my shack Wednesday evening and then up to Lake Missaukee Thursday, weather permitting, to hit my secret spring bluegill spot. Friday we're going garage saleing and somewhere in there we're grilling porterhouse steaks and pork tenderloins. It's tough having them out of state and seeing each other just a few times a year, but also rewarding to see they've become successful, independent adults. Anyway, hope all went well at camp and post some pics for those of us who missed the fun.

We missed y'all at camp too. Was a decent turnout and all a had a good time I believe. Wind made Sat afternoon/eve a bit tough, but raffle went well. I'll let you hang on the winner Jerry. They'll have to reveal their identity. Nope...wasn't me dang it!

I'll be posting a raft of pics soon, but I'm not gonna play camp scribe with a story. Maybe somebody else will jump in when I post the pics.

Don, I just got a PM from the lucky winners, Larry and Sandy Bovee, Crappie 1 and Crappie 2. We're working out the details of their 2nd honeymoon, er, I mean weekend away. Congratulations Larry and Sandy and remember, what happens at the Beats a Tent Resort, stays at the Beats a Tent Resort.

Thanks to all who made the camp happen. Normally we always stop by Sunday to say goodby but Tonda wasn't feeling well and we needed to get home.

I'll post up a story tomorrow. Was a great turnout with lots of kids this time!!!

Gary, I ran over this morning to see if you needed help but you were already on your way. I pray that Tonda finds relief.

Wind did a number on Steve and Judy's awning but we used a little backwoods enginuity to get it fixed!

I don't play favorites often but John's granddaughter Lilly takes the cake!

for me , this was the best camp yet, having my daughter Ashley and granddaughter Livy (Alivia), was very special.
they both had a great time, and Livy caught her very first fish with her new pole!!!
thanks to everyone for putting bon the event and making it so special for the kids.
    this pic says it all!
