Day 2 on Lake Darbonne was a little cooler than day one. Weather man said 65 and 5-10 from the NE so again I chose the shorts. As Donald Trump says, WRONG ! It started out cold, stayed cold and ended cold. I managed to tough it out though and we ended the day with 16 nice crappie and two channel cats. Jeff got big fish at 1 lb 6 oz and we had two others right at a pound. The bite was tough and we missed as many as we caught. All but two were caught on shiners under slip bobbers on the channel edges with nothing on plastic today. Fishing just Tuesday morning then have some home improvements in the afternoon.![]()

Life has many choices, eternity has two...choose wisely.
Unapplied biblical truth is like unapplied paint...how many gallons do you have sittin' around? U.D.
16 is a good mess of fish. Hopefully those home improvements don't take long and you can get back on the water. Now being a Michigan boy you know to keep the carhartts handy from October to May, might be a good idea to pack em in your boat......just in case.
The problem isn't lack of clothes, it's lack of sense. I figure Louisiana is warm, right? Why put on the warm weather gear when it's supposed to be warm. I won't make that mistake again
Of course, it will be warm in Michigan while you are gone!
