    Default First Camp..

My first camp was, well darn good. Thanks to all the long time members for the invite and welcome. In this day and age, it is so very nice to meet such good people, all of you were great to get to know. My wife also had a good time. I sure hope that the stars will align in the spring. Planning on it for sure. Shout out to Don, for showing me 'spider rigging', I enjoyed that. Thanks also to Larry and Sandy for taking me out the first day. The net that I got at camp, works well, first fish in it today. Looking ahead to spring. bill

    Bill,

It is always great to finally put a face to a name! I'm glad that you and your wife had a good time. If these camps were all about catching fish, we would have failed a long time ago

I've met a good number of people over the last several years that I consider great friends. People that would bend over backwards to help each other in any way that they can. Be willing to give up fishing tips, secrets, and spots, and even a seat in their boats. Although we only get together a couple times a year (as a group) many of us contact each other and plan fishing outings outside of a normal crappie event. We have a unique opportunity with Crappie dot com that allows us to tap into local experts all over the US. Showing up on a body of water and asking locals can be a challenge. Having a person on that side of the state that might be familiar with the area you intend to visit is a great scouting tool.

I'm glad we now have someone on your side of the state!

Good to see you had a large time at camp. We really try hard to make sure that in the very least all the attendees go home thinking the weekend was worth the trip. The weather could have been more cooperative, but what the hey! Glad to see the net getting some use again.
