Thread: tuesday report

hit leach lake near Hastings tues afternoon for a couple hours, was very surprised to find bluegills in the act of spawning , I figured they would be done by now for sure!!
water temp was 76 -78 as the sun was beating down hard, even got a bit of sunburn
kept 18 males for dinner, caught mostly on a fly rod with a rubber spider , but did get a few with wax worms on a VERY tiny jig under a clear bobber, nothing big , just a bunch of nice "eaters"
just a nice way to relax away the afternoon.
