Again thanks for the info. I will be headed over to the lake at the end of the month hopefully. I am sure the ice is almost out of there due to the warm water from the river. I am a little nervous about heading up river as I tried it last year but again was a little overwhelmed with all the stumps. I guess I just need to slow down and fish these little spots more thoroughly. Thinking I should maybe try some longer rods and get on the trolling motor and vertical jig these locations. Picking up new/used boat next week which has bow graph which should work better for this type of fishing I hope. Great walleye info also. I fish Platte, Long, Herring lake along with a couple of other lakes that hold a good number of walleye. Be happy to share some hot spots if your ever in the area.
