The lake is only 100acres and 27' deep. No drop offs to speak of. 1/8th oz is what I was using, I think my wife was dragging the same or smaller, and the old man was bigger. I kept mine deep, the old man around 15-20', and I'd guess the wife was around 10-15'. She and I got bites.
The wind was blowing the boat faster than we wanted, and I haven't got a good trolling motor battery in yet. I limited my use of that for the most part.
This particular trip was more or less to give the girls a ride in the new boat before the snow flies. Neither had been in it since I bought it. The old man and I wanted to see how much room we had with that many people, and how cramped the boat might feel having women on board.
Either way I think it was a success. Starting next spring we will have all our ducks in a row, and we will get after some fish.
