    Default On the Way South

On the way to our winter place, I had the pleasure of Hanging out with some Florida folks at their slabfest. It was this past Sat. on Lake Monroe, part of the St. Johns river.

They started at 7 am and I got there in time of the weigh-in. For sure as with all CDC clubs, they were very friendly and was happy to share info. I thought they had a real good catch, but some said the water was to high.

Of course where there is a club there is some awesome food.

The biggest fish was pushing 2 lbs. Here are a few pics I took.

    2. 3rd place winner
    3. My new boat minus rod holders LOL 130 mph

A big thanks to them for allowing me to hang out.Name: S5030640.jpg

Definately better weather down that way this time of year. Hopefully you make it back by June for our Spring/Summer slabfest.

I wonder how that boat trolls?

That boat is pretty, but that's about the sorriest crappie fishing set-up I ever saw!
