I've put my ice fishing stuff away until next year, never got out on the ice. I'm ready for warm weather, it always seems this time of year "cabin fever" sets in. Start looking at fishing catalogs, watch fishing shows......I found a site on the net called Waypoint, that offers all kinds of fishing shows anytime you want to watch. My favorite show is "The Next Bite". I started watching that about 5 years ago, those guys seem like they would be a hoot to go fishing with.

I've slept in many places in the Marines... Under a tank is one I won't forget. A coffee table in the middle of a video teleconference room, the hood of a Humvee loaded in a C141 at 25000 feet, in the bushes next to a barracks in Stuttgart Germany (don't ask), teranchilla infested desert, snake infested swamp, oh, and bad guy infested area... that about sums it up.

My wife has asked me how I can sleep through so much stuff... I simply tell her, when in the military and you have free time to sleep, you sleep. It is the training of the mind to shut down when it is time to do so. Whether bombs are going off, planes are going down, boats are broken and floating... whatever!

Well I guess we are going to get hit with a big snowstorm today, it has been nice the last couple days with high 40 temps. News guy says power outages are to be expected, 45 mph winds, 1 inch of snow per hour. Glad I don't have to be on the roads, it's been nice being able to work out of my wood shop. Ya'll be careful out there on the roads.
