We went to Pinckney State park today, Dar caught some gills I a couple bass, to small. but a nice camping spot tho. I learned the hard way to look back and take note of where you come out of the channels. Looking forward to camp in fall.
You're one up on me then Tim. I have not been over on those lakes yet. I remember years ago before GPS and fish finders with mapping that lays "bread crumbs" for you to follow back. I did the same thing. Live and learn, huh?!

i need some input please. my old boat was getting in bad shape so i decided to replace all the wood transom ,stringers and floor. i cut all the old wood out but the stringers. i have a boat guy come look at what is left to do and he gives me his price. i took the boat to him on memorial day weekend. i have in writing job will take 10 days. went to shop to find that all that is done is transom cut to fit but not in place yet. so do i ask for my deposit back and take my boat some place else or just shoot the guy? keep in mind this man has been doing boats for 30 ,plus years in the flint area. WHAT WOULD YOU DO!!!
I'm hoping that you haven't paid him ALL he money for the job. You do have financial and legal leverage there. You can let him finish, or you can pull the boat and pay him for what he's done and take it somewhere else, My![]()

no only half but what a way to do business![]()
I might have a conversation with him to find out what is going on. Maybe give the benefit of the doubt. We all like to think that if something did happen (death in the family, emergency, etc...) that he would at least let you know (that is how I would do it) but not all people are alike.
IF however, after that conversation, I figure out that he is just lazy, giving me the run around, and so on, I would make my decision. If he is the only one doing the job you need, or comes highly recommended, you might bite the bullet, if not, you may take it down the road.

he's just lazy. just keeps saying he's sorry and doing the best he can. he did come with good recommendations, bin in business 33 years just think he's getting to old to do the work. but i got a barn find Saturday till we figure out whats going on. putting the motor on this week![]()
