The thing that bummed me out the most about loosing that fish was not loosing the fish, it was the fact that it had been in my bucket for a while and very likely will not survive. I hear you about care in draining off the water. A few days ago I had a bucket of water with the walleye fillets I just got done cleaning. When I left the pole barn (cleaning table) I held my hand over the bucket to drain off the water. One fillet slipped out on the ground and Harley (wiener dog) snatched it immediately. Pretty bad when you lose a nice one.....AFTER IT WAS FILLETED!!!
