Things are picking up. My wife and I were out west of Lansing and brought home 41, including 12 crappies, in 2-6 fow. Nothing huge, but all nice sized. The crappies are all in their black breeding coloration. I didn't use a tape measure on them, but pretty much all 9-11 inchers. Got the gills and pumpkinseeds on spiders, a tiny popper, and artificial worms. The crappies all came on a red and black jig with Gulp Alive minnows. All the crappies were along a stretch of dropoff only 10 or 20 yards long. Gills in shallower, and no sign of bedding. She concentrated on the gills, and I had fun with the crappies, but couldn't resist using the surface lures for some gills! Now is the time to get out and get them.

Life has many choices, eternity has two...choose wisely.
Unapplied biblical truth is like unapplied paint...how many gallons do you have sittin' around? U.D.
That's a great catch. Good job.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
Way to go on some nice looking fish, thanks for posting the pictures
