    Default Stoney day tomorrow

Going to try Stoney creek impoundment tomorrow with my brother. Hoping for some crappie, but anything is better than nothing. Fishing has been tough. I have tried a number of go to spring spots with no luck, unless my luck is only for being skunked. 😵

Back at home in nice warm blanket. Nice windy day starting at 48 degrees F. Got a few little ones but nothing big, and witnessed a big carp leap out of the water. Tried a few different spots. Went deep near the dam and trie a few shallow bays, and nothing but dinks. But it was a nice non snowy day spent with my brother and not cooped up in the house.

That's what counts MM. I take it the 'dinks' were crappies? Or were they gills?

They were gills, I brought worms, minnows, and a good mess of tackle. Can never be too sure on what the crappies want, I did lose a few minners to a couple of something's winning themselves a free meal without me being able to catch em. Feeding the fish I suppose. Hopefully with the weather warming we will soon be in for some better fish activity.

Keep at it MM and those shallow bays will start to produce soon.
