IWe checked the ice at Sterling State Thursday. The launch was all ice (unsafe). Erie was open water with some ice chunks along shore. Won't be long now.All above 40 deg. for the next ten days. Headin to Cabela's to get my 2013 Old Geezer Licenses before the price goes up.

Spoke to a friend in Taylor. He said that my private launch is iced in but mid river is open. My worry this year is the ice flow from St Clair.
Hard to believe that one year ago today it was 75 degrees and I was catching my walleye limit on the river.

Pt. Mouillee is all slushy ice. Hopefully thiswekend will open up the channels. I'm gonna check Bolles Harbor tomorrow.

I fished Hutchins lk in Fennville, 10-12" ice and tried alot of stuff and I hate to admit it but I got skunked! Just couldn't find them!
