Great to see everyone and meet some new faces. Sorry for not making it over for food and fun. As some may know, when leaving green road, I went around the back of the mule and steped in a 10 inch auger hole covered by snow. Went in with my right leg all the way to my groin. Cloths saved me from getting wet, but after a couple hours, they were frozen stiff. Went back to my sisters to thaw them before taking them off.

Great day, great company. Looking forward to the spring fest. My boat is a little more comfortable.

    Where are the fish?

    Default MICDC winter SlabFest

It was indeed a great weekend for MI in Feb. Not a veteran hard water fisherman, but I gotta believe you couldn't ask for a nicer day weather wise on Sat. I actually had to shed my outer coat for a while! Was great to see everyone again and the food was great as always. It's a good thing that we hold these events for the friendship/fellowship, because the fishing wasn't fast and furious for sure. Sure seemed like a lot of folks out on the ice though. Probably had something to do with the local contest they were holding.

Thanks to all for everything, and especially to Jim for supplying Carol and I with some fishing gear. You da best. Here's the pics that I took:

Great photos Don. Really appreciated by those of us who could not make it. Maybe next year. Inspires me to get planning on the Spring Slabfest. Thanks again
