My wife and I just went up to Houghton Lake New Years Eve weekend. We stayed at Krobinskis Motel in Prudenville. It is right on the lake. We got a rate of $49 per night for seniors. Krobinskis also has a marina and tackle store right across the street.

I've been to Tip-Up Town. If you like a lot of people, traffic, 100 mph snowmobiles while your fishing, it's a great place to be, not to mention the folks from the beer tent. My

Been there couple times and its not really for ice fishing during them times, so I totally agree.

not to mention all the traffic making the fish scatter when there noise.

I work with a guy that grew up on that lake , his dad owned a resort and said fishing back then was good , never really tried fishing there seriously

What was the guys name? And what resort was it. I spent a lot of my younger years there, and Sandy lived there. She or I probably know the guy or at least the resort.
