I heard about that, but couldn't find any that were "hooded" ... they all had exposed connector prongs. I also read where some had used the auto type relays and they didn't last very long.

I found OEM replacements at a local Merc dealership, and at the same price as online venues. If these last as long as the old ones (almost 18yrs) I will consider their price a bargain. And I'm keeping the "good" one as a backup.
