Thread: Installing a cable extender...help!!

Its me again.....the guy with very little electronic ability/knowledge!!! I had a thread a while back to see how I could do a "splitter" for my front DF cable for when I take the TM off in the winter for duck hunting. Someone pointed out using a cable extender which I found this one to be the one for my unit.


My question is how exactly does this hook up? Below is a picture of the where my existing wiring is. I am noticing another black/red wire on the extender. Do I simply hook those up where the others are in the picture? Sorry if this is a bit confusing but before i purchase this I would like to make sure its going to work. To give an idea of what is what....the wires most in the foreground of the picture orange/black are to the TM. The Red/black big wires and little wires with inline fuse are to the DF.
