No, NO, NO! Mercury has had problems with hoses at least into 2006 - Some shops could still have some of this hose laying around.

Look below - this is not my hose, but I had the exact same thing happen. This hose was from 2002. The higher ethanol content eats the inner lining of the hose which then clogs up the motor.
