X2 props can be a very tricky thing. I had a 195 charger with a 150 Johnson switched to a 150 yamaha but kept same prop and ran like crap.

Normally a 4 bladed prop will give you a better hole shot and better handling. But you will loose a few MPH at top end.

This is a fantastic site, but if you want info about props talk to Ken at propgods.com. He is the master. You give him your set up and how you are running and 9 times out of 10 he will pick the correct prop for you. My 18' Maycraft runs 10 times better after his suggestions.

I struggled with this on my 115 4 stroke. Because my Lund is a deep V and heavy, plus I fish in rough water a lot I went with a 4 blade stainless steel prop and I have absolutely no regrets. Gets the boat up and on plain and powers me through rough water with outstanding control.
